As we order from renowned Vanuatu kava companies we are 100% sure of the Quality of our products. As you will see from our website Vanuatu is the only nation in the Pacific to have a kava law that controls variety and preparation procedures.
All our products come from peeled basal organs and lateral roots of the kava plant. It is important to peel the basal organs because they contain the plants natural defense chemicals (Kavain and Dihydrokavain). These chamicals give the dried products the extra bitterness, and in fresh kava brews, they cause the upset tummies and the numbness of the oral area.
There is a marked difference between our milled kava and the other products being marketed here. People should be more aware of this fact as there is certainly low quality products being sold cheaply in NZ. As you will see from our website, our milled kava products cost a bit more. However it is clear that if others are not peeling their kava basal organs then they can get more pounded kava from a kilo of raw kava than we would. We don't mind, we stand by the quality of our kava. |

Pam in 2015, resulting in the rapid increase in Kava prices, we are doing our part to maintain
